This Colt 1903 Pocket Auto shipped to the Board of Water Supply of New York City at 346 Broadway, Room 119 New York, New York Attn Captian J. Fitzgerald on December 13th, 1941 in a 200 gun shipment.
There have been other Colt's documented during the early days of WW2 that have shipped to Power Companies, Water Districts and other critical utilities. The thought was to arm local guards at these utilities in effort to prevent a possible attack.
