This MKIII Colt Trooper was shipped to Colt Firearms, Domestic Sales Department at 150 Huyshope Ave, Hartford, Connecticut. The notes state the revolver was Delivered To: Ron Lackie on December 6th, 1972. It was a single gun shipment part of Colt Factory Order #12460.
The shipping sleeve that protects the wood grain box has a hand written note of "Mr. Lackie J1000000, P.O. put this by Don Mitchell, Good for presentation. Don Mitchell at the time was the Vice President of marketing at Colt.
Additional paperwork shows that this revolver was once own by former Colt Senior Vice President John Fiedler.
