This Colt 38 Super was originally shipped to the H.W. Lidstone Loan Account on April 16th, 1935. Mr. Lidstone was the assistant sales manager at Colt at the time. Further notes show that it was then Delivered by Mr. Lidstone to H.W. McVey in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 12th, 1935.
This Colt 38 Super was a built near the end of 1934 and shipped in 1935. It has Colt's fine brushed blue finish and wears the 28 row walnut checkered grips. The "28 row grips" will have 28 rows of diamonds between the grip screws. Post WWII there were similar looking grips that had more rows between them.
This Super 38 also includes the original maroon factory box that is numbered on the bottom of the box to the pistol. Includes the original Colt hang tag and papers.
