This Colt Bankers Special was shipped to the Abercrombie & Fitch Company in New York, New York on April 29th, 1938 in a 6 gun shipment. It's finished in Colt's fine brushed blue finish and has the factory checkered walnut grips on it.
Accompanying this pistol is the original box, test target, hang tag and cleaning brush.
This particular Banker's Special was ordered to be targeted. The fee for this service was an extra $3.00 on top of the price of the pistol. To request this service on the smaller snub nosed revolvers was pretty uncommon.
