The Colt Junior came to light in 1958 and was manufactured by the Spanish Firearms Manufacturer Astra Unceta y Ca. The Junior was built off the Astra Cub chassis and was offered in a .25ACP and also a .22 Short version. The Junior was built starting in 1958 and was produced until 1973.
This particular example was later in production and would have been one of the last ones produced before the Gun Control Act of 1968 came into the picture.
The Colt Juniors are marked with the serial number on the frame of the pistol as well as along the top of the slide. This was an improvement over the 1908 Vest pocket as it would require disassembly to read the serial number on the slide on those pistols.
This Colt Junior still has it's original box, warranty card and factory manual. Also accompanying this pistol is a .22 Short Conversion Unit, more on this conversion unit can be read here.
