This Colt Model 1900 Long Slide was Shipped to the Simmons Hardware company in St. Louis Missouri on February 26th, 1902 in a 20 gun shipment. Factory letter states that it was furnished with a stub hammer.
This particular Colt 1900 was shipped back to the factory at some point during it's life and was refinished and had the rear sight safety modified to have a fixed sight put in place.
Colt would eventually discontinue the Model 1900 and replace it with the Model 1902 Military and 1902 Sporting variants.
The K on the right trigger guard was applied for pistols that were sent in for repair or refinishing.
