The Remington Rand Demonstration or Presentation Pistols were apparently assembled from late production parts before any of the military markings or stamps could be applied.
The finish on this pistol is typical of the late production Remington Rand service pistols. It is believed that after the war these pistols were presented to Remington Rand officials and employees.
Demonstration guns were serial numbered from 1 to about 145 without a serial number prefix.
