This Colt Police Positive was shipped to the H&D Folsom Arms Company of New York, New York on November 8th, 1924 in a single gun shipment. It was on Colt Factory Order #7819 & 9049.
This Colt is finished in blue, factory engraved and is wearing the factory ivory grips. It is chambered in .38 caliber.
The front sight on this Colt is ramped where traditionally the sight that would have been issued on this Colt would be a half moon / rounded front sight. At the time this pistol was manufactured a ramped front sight was an option from Colt and rarely optioned. It is believed that this ramped front sight was modified from the factory at the time of the engraving.
