This Colt Police Positive was shipped to Joseph A. Lorch at 1010 Vermont Avenue N.W. Washington, District of Columbia on October 19th, 1938. It was on Colt Factory order #8135 in a 180 gun shipment. The Colt factory letter also states Factory Engraved: "U.S. Customs" on the backstrap and the number "1756" is engraved on the butt of the revolver. It was sold to the Collector of Customs in New York, New York.
