This Colt 1908 Pocket Hammerless was Sold To the United States Government. It was Shipped To the Transportation Officer, Springfield Armory, Springfield, Massachusetts, For: Commanding Officer on November 3rd, 1944. It was on Factory order #4897 in a batch of 500 pistols.
This is a type V pocket hammerless as indicated by the M1911A1 sights, and 19 slide serrations. It also incorporates a 3 3/4" barrel w/ integrated barrel bushing.
