This Colt Army Special Revolver was shipped to Thomas Powers with the address Unavailable on December 18th, 1908.
The letter states the barrel length of 6" and chambered in .38/c. Finish is labeled "Silver with gold plated cylinder, hammer and trigger". Type of stock "Pearl with carved eagle motif.". Factory Engraved: "Yes, including "Antonio Ponce de Leon Jr. etc.".
On the left side of the pistol the pistol was engraved with the following message. "Antonio Ponce de León Jr. Comandante de Policia, Ciudad Juárez Chich., Mex."
This particular Army Special was the property of Antonio Ponce De Leon Jr. Research shows that he was the Police Commander in Ciudad Juárez Chihuahua Mexico. At the time of this writing not much more is known about him.
