This 5 1/2" Colt New Service was Sold To the State of New York. Care of Guy W. Pinck of Albany New York. It was shipped to the Albany Hardware & Iron Company in Albany New Yrok on September 12th, 1940. It was on Colt factory order #9358 and was in a 6 gun shipment.
Attached is a picture of Guy W. Pinck taken 4/6/1939. At that point he was the newly -named commissioner of canals and waterways. He would quickly become the State Superintendent of Public works.
