This Colt Pocket Positive Revolver was Shipped to John K. Carmichael in New York, New York on July 20th, 1936 in a single gun shipment. The factor letter states this Colt was Factory engraved with the text "Sgt. Lewis Chisholm".
The attached article has a photo of Sergeant Chisholm and describing him being promoted to the head of New York Crome Prevention Bureau. He graduated from Georgia State Industrial College and at the time was on the force for 16 years. This article was from a paper in 1936. It's possible that this pistol was a gift to celebrate his promotion.
