This Colt Service Model Ace was shipped June 13th, 1945 to the Army-Navy Consolidating Station in New York. This particular shipment of 1200 pistols were for the Naval Supply Depot as indicated on the factory letter.
This Service Ace features Colts Parco-Lubrite finish which is observed on pistols near the end of WWII production. Stocks are the later Coltwood which replaced the walnut stocks.
