This Colt 380 Government Pocket Pistol was an experimental prototype that was auctioned off through the Greg Martin Auctions in 2008. This pistol came directly out of the Colt Factory.
The factory letter reads the type of stocks: Mottled brown laminated grips with gold plated rampant colt medallion inlays. Special Features: Furnished without maker, address, model or caliber markings and without magazine.
It is the predecessor for the short run of 380 Government Models that were introduced in 1983. They were primarily replaced by the Mustang which was slightly smaller and more popular.
