This Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless was shipped to the Commanding Officer, Washington Quarter Master Depot in Cameron Virginia on February 20th, 1945 in a 504 gun shipment. The factory letter states this was for the Property Officer G2/MIS, Room 2-B731 at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. The factory letter states that this particular pistol was also shipped with 252 Commando revolvers.
This Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless is a well worn piece and shows most of it's wear through the center of the slide. Most likely from being carried in the spring clamp shoulder holster. This civilian holster which has been modified with a piece of military web strapping has been scavenged from something else. An interesting combat carry rig.
