This Colt 1908 Pocket Hammerless was shipped to the H&D Arms Company in New York, New York on March 6th, 1928 in a 5 gun shipment. Note the factory letter says this pistol initially shipped with checkered wood stocks. Often times the larger dealers would have extra grips on hand so customers could change them out upon purchase. It's unclear when these stocks were changed out.
It has Colt's fine brushed blue commercial finish with pearl grips. Note the medallions on the grips carried the same level of detail as they did in early 1924. The right side medallions are reversed. This practice continued on all Colt grips from the end of January in 1924 until the end of the production run.
