This Colt Ace was shipped to the J.L. Galef and Son, Inc. in New York, New York on May 17th, 1947 in a 43 gun shipment.
This particular Ace is considered to be a pre-war / post-war example with the original 2 piece maroon box. The grips at this point were no longer utilizing the 28 row checkered wood and were utilizing the Coltwood grips.
