This Colt Army Special is believed to have been manufactured in 1919. This particular pistol stayed within the Factory Vault until it was released at auction on October 16th, 2008.
It has a 6" barrel that is Blue. The frame is still "In-the-white" which was common practice for pistols and revolvers that were set aside to be engraved. It has the factory hard rubber fleur-de-lis grips that was standard for use on the the production models.
