This Colt Model 1905 was shipped on March 12th, 1909 to the F. Peters company in a 3 gun shipment. The address is not listed but they had locations in Hamburg, Germany, New York, and Constantinople, Turkey. The factory letter indicates that it furnished with a combination stock and holster that can be seen in the photos.
The combination shoulder stock could be worn on the hip to carry the pistol, but when the time came to take a longer distance shot the holster would come off the belt, attach to the pistol to turn into a shoulder stock. It's estimated that there were 400 of these pistols produced with the stocks.
The finish on this 1905 is Colt's high polish blue. The small parts will retain their fire blue. This is the earlier variant with the rounded hammer, later pistols are observed with spur hammers.
