This Colt Official Police was Sold to the War Department, Finance Officer in Washington, DC. It was shipped to the Southwestern Proving Grounds in Hope Arkansas. Attn: Captian H.B. Bishop, Ordnance Depot, Post Quartermaster on May 6th, 1942 in a 55 gun shipment.
The left side of the frame has the flaming bomb proof mark just above the cylinder latch. It's finished in Colt's fine brushed blue with walnut checkered grips.
