This Colt Police Positive Revolver was shipped to the C. Leonard Hardware Company Inc. of Petersburg Virginia on June 8th, 1939 in a single gun shipment. It features a 4" barrel and a factory blue finish.
The Police Positive 38 Special's required a slightly larger and heavier frame due to the increased caliber. A small amount of these heavier and larger frames were utilized to build 32 Colt Caliber revolvers.
