This Colt Super Match was shipped on April 21st, 1938 to the Stoeger Arms Company in New York, New York in a single gun shipment. It's finished in Colt's fine brushed blue finish with factory checkered walnut grips. The sights on this pistol are fixed as this was an option when purchasing these pistols. Adjustable sights were the standard configuration after the first year of production thus making post 1935 fixed sight Super Match Pistols quite rare.
The Colt Super Match was the upgraded version of the .38 super. It featured a hand honed action and a "selected" match barrel.
