This Colt Woodsman Match Target pistol was shipped in a single gun shipment on September 15th, 1936 to H.W. Kline and charged to the Loan account. H.W. Kline then delivered the pistol to the R.S> Elliot Arms Co. in Kansas City, Missouri on October 7th, 1936. The records further note that this pistol was returned to the factory on October 30th, 1936. However, no further information can be located as the final disposition of this firearm.
It is believed that the pistol was returned to Colt to have the name "JAS. R. KEARNEY" engraved and silver inlaid on the left side and then was returned back to the dealer.
