This is a Kongsberg Colt model 1914, manufactured in 1945 and issued to the Nazi Army. Colt licensed out production of the 1911 to Kongsberg Vaapenfabrik in Norway. These pistols had a production period from 1914-1947 with a total of 32,854 of them produced.
During the German occupation of Norway (1940-1945) the approximate number of pistols were produced.
This M/1914 has the original black phosphate finish with 5" bbl and fixed sights. Left side of slide has usual markings with Waffenampt WaA8 cutting through the finish. Right side of slide is dated 1945 indicating the year of manufacture.
Left side of frame has the SN with last 3 digits of matching SN on various parts, including trigger, thumb safety, grip safety, spring housing and slide lock. Grips are a light colored wood (probably birch) diamond checkered grips. Accompanied by one original Lanyard loop magazine.
