This Remington Rand M1911A1 is an early 1942 production pistol with the 1st type logo roll mark that is applied to the left side of the slide. This roll mark was utilized from roughly from serial number 916405 to roughly 93500. This is the 527th Remington Rand that was produced.
The early Remington Rand pistols were finished with Du-Lite which was a bluing process over a sandblasted finish. Remington Rand would later change over to a parkerized finish. It's also to note the early Remington Rands utilize a milled trigger and would later change to a stamped trigger.
